Caregiving Through Cancer
Supporting Yourself While Supporting Another
Caregiving through cancer is emotionally complex, often isolating, and deeply demanding
Caregiving Through Cancer is an 8-week supportive process virtual group for adults who have found themselves in a caregiver role. This group offers a safe and compassionate space to connect with others who truly understand the emotional, mental, and practical challenges of life throughout caregiving.
You will connect with yourself and others in a safe, honest, and compassionate space to explore:
Entering the Caregiver Role
The Invisible Load of Caregiving
Managing Anxiety, Fear, and Uncertainty
Boundaries, Guilt, and “Doing Enough”
Identity Beyond Caregiving
Rest, Energy, and Sustainability
Relationships and Support Systems
You don’t need to have it all figured out, you only need to have a willingness to reflect, share, and connect with others on similar paths.

The intake session provides space to:
Ask questions and understand what to expect from the group
Share a bit about where you are in your survivorship journey
Ensure the group setting will feel safe, supportive, and beneficial
Clarify boundaries, confidentiality, and group norms
This step helps create a thoughtful, well-supported group experience and allows everyone to begin the group feeling informed and grounded.
The intake session is $150 and is required prior to group participation.

That’s completely normal. You’ll never be asked to share more than you’re comfortable with. This space is built on safety, respect, and understanding. Listening to others’ stories can be just as healing as sharing your own.
-
We will meet online — via the Simple Practice platform.
-
This program is available for any cancer caregivers living in the following states: Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Nebraska.
-
This group is for adults who are currently in a caregiver role and are ready to explore day to day life.
It’s a good fit if you’re:
• Adjusting to the “new normal” and finding your footing.
• Seeking connection with others who understand the emotional toll of cancer and caregiving.
• Wanting to process day to day life responsibilities.
• Ready to find grounding, support, and time for self.
-
No. Individual therapy isn’t required. This group focuses on emotional support, reflection, and connection, not clinical treatment or diagnosis. That said, many participants may find that combining individual therapy and group work enhances their healing journey.
-
This is a psychoeducational and process-based support group, not formal psychotherapy. We focus on shared experience, meaning-making, and coping strategies rather than diagnosis or mental health treatment.
Because of this, the group is self-pay and not billed through insurance.
-
The group is intentionally small 6 to 8 participants, to encourage comfort and connection. Sessions run 75–90 minutes and include guided reflection, discussion, and experiential exercises to help you integrate insights into daily life.
-
Consistency helps build trust and connection, so attendance is strongly encouraged.
If you need to miss a session, you’ll still receive any reflection prompts or materials from that week to stay connected with the group theme. Because space is limited and each spot is reserved for the full 8-week series, missed sessions are not refundable and will still be charged.
